Welcome To IHSDTA

The IHSDTA is committed to our mission: To support the development of a positive self worth in everyone involved in dance-students, teachers, parents, and community. We are constantly engaged in a search to elevate the level of opportunity for students in dance education and performance.

Our goal is not only to provide a venue to showcase outstanding high school and junior high school dance teams but also to provide an experience that excites, motivates, and rewards programs on all levels.

Our invitational events are open to all high school and junior high school teams who apply on a first come first served basis.

Competitions

The IHSDTA offers competitions in many of the popular team categories such as: jazz, pom, kick, and hip hop. For dancers interested in showcasing their talents individually, we also offer competition in solos, duos, small ensemble and large ensemble.

Membership

Membership in the IHSDTA is available to all Indiana high schools and middle schools who are members of the Indiana Association of School Principals (ISAP), Division of School Activities.

Judges

The IHSDTA takes pride in bringing in quality judges from Indiana and all over our country to help improve our dance teams, soloists, and ensemble groups.

Students

The IHSDTA is committed towards creating positive opportunities for its students that extend past the competition floor.  Continuing education support, recognizing high achievements in the classroom and partnering with Champions Together are just a few of the ways we have come together in support of IHSDTA students.
