1. All high school teams must meet compete in a minimum of two (2) IHSDTA approved Local Invitational to meet the eligibility requirements to qualify for the Regional Champioinships. Junior High teams are only required to compete in one (1) competition to qualify for regionals.
2. The minimum number a VARSITY team may have to compete is eight (8). Teams with less than the minimum number may enter as a small or large ensemble and compete in the ensemble division. See penalty guidelines for failure to meet the minimum team number requirement. Minimum number for Junior Varsity and Junior High is six (6).
3. Upon arrival at contest, the team director is to immediately check in at the team registration station.
4. All teams will be assigned a classroom for changing and team meetings. At no time are students to be in the classrooms without adult supervision. Furthermore, food and drinks are never permitted in the classrooms.
5. Music tapes/compact discs are to be turned in as the team enters the competition area. Testing of music speed, volume, etc. should be completed during scheduled breaks. If no breaks are scheduled the team's director may request to verify the sound levels prior to their performance.
6. No outside food or drink will be permitted in the building of the contest site.
7. A ten (10) minute warmup and ten (10) minute stretching time will be scheduled for all teams in a practice area.
8. Two (2) complimentary director passes and (1) complimentary bus driver pass will be issued to each team for free admission to all contests and hospitality rooms. All performers are admitted free of charge.
9. General admission for local invitationls is six dollars ($6.00) for adults and three dollars ($3.00) for students.
10. General admission for Regional Championships is eight dollars ($8.00) for all spectators.
11. General admission for State Championships are divided into solos/ensembles, 1/2 day or full day.
12. Immediately after a team has performed the team director should report to tabulations to sign the score verification sheet and pick up the team's judges critique tapes..
13. All teams are entitiled to five (5) minutes with each judge during the post contest critique sessions. These sessions are for instructors, choreographers and directors only and are to be used to discuss tape or score sheet comments.
14. Team officers are required to be in costume and participate in the awards ceremony.
15. Directors are required to inspect their assigned classroom before departing the contest host building.
